Living in a Small town is not something many people could actually do. It's a little strange for many people, especially city people, when I talk to them about my town and the things that go on in it.
For one thing, I think the hardest thing for people to get used to is that in such a small town, you do really know everybody, and unfortunately, everyone knows your business. You could never skip school, you had no where to go where there wasn't someone who knew your parents, or knew someone who knew your parents. That made for fantastic attendance records!!
Something else that is kind of funny, is that everyone knows what you drive, and when your parked somewhere weird or different, so many people will stop by and see what you are up to. Or heavens forbid you try and walk anywhere, person after person stops to see if you need a ride.
My town is so small that I only have 1 stop light. We just recently got our first blinking stop sign. This makes my friends laugh, because they say they can see at least 5 from their houses. There is only 1 main road that goes through the town, and only 1 main intersection.
Something that many city people do not see often are that there are sometimes more tractors on the road than there are cars, and the tractors can sometimes take upboth lanes because they are so big. Its always nice to see everyone wave at the tractor drivers too, no one gets annoyed or pissed off at the tractors, which I think is something you can only find in a small town.
Overall, I must say that I really do enjoy living in a small town, and I wish to forevre live in small towns, after going to school in buffalo, I know what city living is like, amd what small townis like, and would choose small town 10,000 times over living in a city.
Aww that sounds so much fun. I live in a big city and often wondered what it would be like to live in such a small town.
